The Party Is Over! but what a party!
Thank You!

DC Diamond Circulate thanks all you square dancers out there for your support and presence at the 26h annual IAGSDC Square Dance Convention. Your enthusiasm made for a fabulous high-energy weekend of dance, and not a few hijinks. As we all learned in Mainstream Class, Square dancing is friendship set to music!

Special thanks to our fabulous caller staff (in no apparent order): Betsy Gotta, Anne Uebelacker, Tom Miller, John Marshall, Deborah Carroll-Jones, Sandie Bryant, Mike Jacobs, Ett McAtee, John Marshall, Lynette Bellini, Dayle Hodge, and Barry Clasper. We are also grateful to the Gay Caller Association (GCA) callers who called many of the specialty tips, and the GCA tips at the top of every hour. All Join Hands financially supported the Trail-In Dance, which was called by Mike DeSisto and Dayle Hodge.

Volunteers, Wow! You guys and gals outperformed yourselves! Take a bow front and center! The time you gave to the Convention made it all possible: The Women's Lounge, the friendly front desk, the hosts for the entertainers, the hosts on the Fun Badge Tour, the dancers who took up the floors. Whenever something needed to be done, your helping hands made it possible, and got it done. Members of the Capital City Dance Club helped with a fundraiser for All Join Hands at the dance. The DCDC Convention Committee is grateful for their help. Burgundy Crescent volunteers assisted with the Great Sit and the Grand March, making both activities more pleasant, and much more organized! Sara, our Swing dance instructor was totally awesome.

Thanks to the DC Different Drummers Swing Band, the DC Cowboys, and Dance Jam Productions' BJ Brown for some splendid music and dancing.

See y'all next year at Chi-Town Shakedown 2010!
